Jonathan has set us the task to curate a pretend exhibition with one piece of artwork from our practise. It doesn’t have to be anything spectacular, it could even be something from our sketchbook. However, we must curate the Hey Gallery with our work by the end of the day. We gathered all our works and got started on arranging the gallery into a exhibition.
Throughout the day, I suppose the hardest bit was to agree with each other on how certain works should be presented. We all had different ideas about where work should be hung and coming to an agreement was difficult. Eventually, we tried to combine a mixture of all ideas and meet in the middle.
We also realised that a lot of works are very different from one and another and we sometimes struggled to make a conversation with the artworks. However, this is a learning curve for all of us and made us realise how hard artwork can be to curate and this is great practise for when we curate our degree show.
